STS-Demand More: Gold Edition
I should really do a better job of posting. This has actually been sitting in my drafts for days. Anyway, new mixtape from Atlanta MC and The Roots apphiliate STS. Video for lead single “The People” and link below.
Fabolous-The Soul Tape
New mixtape from Fabolous. It’s inspired by soul-sample beats from the Kanye/Just Blaze golden era. I just hope he does one of my favorite songs justice. Download below.
Stalley-Lincoln Way Nights (RMX) feat. Rick Ross
Rick Ross hops on the remix of his most recent MMG signee Stalley. Don’t look now, but Ross is building a nice roster. Also, if you slept on Stalley’s Lincoln Way Nights: Intelligent Trunk Music get it here.
Curren$y-Covert Coup
It’s finally here: Curren$y + Alchemist = Covert Coup. BTW it’s coup, not coupe. You know, coup as in coup d’etat. Download below. Happy 4/20
Big KRIT-Return of 4Eva The Samples Vol. 1
Now that this album has soaked in for awhile, you can focus on the production side.
I find it amazing that he turned this:
into this:
Illmatic-17th Anniversary
Typically, when i’m grading albums, I only pay attention to the music. However, if that same rule applied to Nas’ classic, Illmatic, then one would find it hard to understand its significance. The circumstances surrounding this great album is the only reason why this album tops Jay-Z’s Reasonable Doubt.
Big Remo-Robin Hood Ree (Presented by 9th Wonder)
New free album presented by producer 9th Wonder and clothing line LRG. Big Remo is probably one of my favorite artists on 9th’s roster. Download below.
Action Bronson-Consensual
Although i’m from the south, and I love where our movement is at, I really miss that grimy New York hip hop. Well here’s Action Bronson.
(PS he’s the fat Italian guy in the picture)
Prodigy-The Ellsworth Bumpy Johnson EP
Speaking of New York rap, Prodigy (one half of Mob Deep) teams up with Complex Magazine for this free EP. About time.
Lil Wayne-Tha Carter IV
Ahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahhaahahahahahahahhahahahahaha that’s the WORST album cover EVER. The only redeeming factor is the “rumored” track list. June 14. Or so he says
1. Tune This
2. Team Player – feat. Birdman
3. Fore Play
4. They Love Me – feat. Drake & Nicki Minaj
5. John (If I Die Today) – feat. Rick Ross
6. No Competition
7. Holy Grail (History) – feat. Kanye West
8. Carter Cash – feat. Jay-Z
9. 6 Foot 7 Foot – feat. Corey Gunz
10. Play My Game – feat. Tech N9ne
11. Anne – feat. Swizz Beatz
12. Street Life
13. Hard Talk – feat. Bon Iver & Game
14. Fall From Grace – feat. Eminem
15. Brain Dead – feat. Gucci Mane
16. No Trust
17. Maybe She Will – feat. Drake & Rick Ross
18. My Legacy
Kendrick Lamar-Hiii Power (prod. J. Cole)
Late pass on this #wifistruggle. But anyway, first single off Kendrick Lamar’s Section 80 album produced by by Roc Nation abductee, J. Cole
PS, go to iTunes and purchase if you want a download.
Dom Kennedy-CDC (Video)
Visuals from one of my favorite tracks from The Original Dom Kennedy. CDC = C.asey + D.om + C.arter , by the way.
Previous:
Aleon Craft-Mothership Decatur

Just the other day I was wondering, “whatever happened to that group Da Backwudz?”. Well after the group disbanded, Big Marc began rapping under the alias Aleon Craft, and here we are today. Download link below.
Donnis-Southern Lights
New free album from XXL alum and ATLien Donnis. His major labor debut coming “soon”.
Smoke Dza-THC
Smoze Dza is a rapper that I don’t like nor hate, but just think he’s decent overall. However, this album is pretty hard–his best yet. Download link and tracklist below.
Curren$y-Ventilation
Curren$y teams up with producer The Alchemist for the FREE EP Covert Coup. This is the first single from that release, and a sign of good things to come. You can see the entire tracklisting below.
Summer Soundtrack, Vol. 1
Summer is officially here. You don’t have to be in your car with your windows rolled up softly playing your (embarrasing) Celine Dion’s Greatest Hits anymore. Thanks to T-Shirt and Cargos (and minimum input from yours truly) you can roll your window down, hang that arm out, and get your inevitable disturbing the peace citation. Don’t blame me though, your sound system will love this.
Big K.R.I.T.-Return of 4Eva Review
*Disclaimer* The reason why it took me so long with this review is that I didn’t want to review it after my first listen and give it a 35 out of 5 for a grade. I seriously would have too, it was that great after the first listen. With that said…I must say two things:
1) Before you listen to this, erase Krit Wuz Here (besides the opening song “Return of 4Eva“) from your mind. It’s a classic in its own right, let’s focus on this.
2). After you listen, PLEASE do not say that KRIT softened the subject matter this time around. New experiences, new stage in life, and once again, it’s the Return of 4Eva.
